Pakistani lady football striker Shahlyla Ahmadzai Baloch passed away in a car accident late on Wednesday night in Karachi.
Baloch was sitting in the passenger seat when the accident occurred in Karachi’s DHA Phase VIII area.
The family member said that “she was travelling in the passenger seat, and the car slid.”
Baloch, 20, was one of the fine strikers for Pakistan women’s football team. She also represented the country at the South Asian Football Federation Women Football Championship 2014 in Islamabad, which was the last international event that Pakistan women’s football team competed in.
Earlier, Baloch became the first Pakistani woman to score a hat-trick abroad during her shift in Maldives. She also made the score sheet in Pakistan’s 4-1 victory over Bhutan in 2014 SAFF Women’s Championship.
